How is it? Is it as good as the first one - which is one of the best books on coding that I have seen - close competitor to "The Practice of Programming".
Well, it is good. Similar in scope to the first one, but heavily updated to include more stuff on OOP. Also includes some info on XP and other newer methodologies.
It targets a different segment from Practise of programming. While practise of programming covers more of the insights you need while programming, CC2 tries to be comprehensive rather than insightful. In that sense, Practise of Programming is more like Programming Pearls.
